RCM requires the facilitator to record information about:
- What the users of the equipment being analysed actually want it to do (ie the equipment’s functions)
- Full details of failures that could interfere with those functions.
RCM Desktop makes it easy for the facilitator to enter this information live during the analysis meetings.
In the Advanced Edition, screen text size can be adjusted to ensure that all analysis group members can read the analysis text comfortably from wherever they are in the meeting room.
New functions are automatically assigned the next available number.
New functional failures are automatically assigned the next available letter.
New failure modes are automatically assigned the next available number.
(In the Intermediate Edition, functions, functional failures and failure modes can be renumbered.)
Up to 4,800 characters can be entered into the failure effects field.
