Analysis Editor Grids: All grids in the Analysis Editor window now remember their
layout between sessions.
Criticality Matrix: New view of Criticalities which shows (and prints) them in a
traditional matrix of Frequencies v Severities using user-defined background colours.
SQL Query Window: Auto-completion is now implemented in the SQL Query window. Eg:
press Ctrl-Space part way through a table name to see a list of valid table names;
press "." after a table name to see a list of its field names.
Grid Navigators Information Panel: All built-in grid navigators now include an information
panel showing "X of Y" to indicate the number of the active records and the total
number of records.
Database Upgrade: When RCM Desktop connects to a database, it checks that the database
version matches what is expected. If the database version is lower than RCM Desktop
expects, then RCM Desktop will attempt to upgrade the database to the expected version.
Spell Checker: Improved and more reliable spell checker. Easy control of dictionaries
and spelling options in RCM Desktop Preferences. Easy editing of user's custom dictionary
and auto-correction list. Users can easily install their own international dictionaries.
At installation, user can choose to install dictionaries for varieties of English,
French, Spanish, German and Portuguese.
New Filter Row in Tasks Overview and Failure Mode Tabs: To make it even easier to
search for existing Maintenance Tasks and existing Failure Modes, a new Filter Row
has been added to the top of the grids in the Tasks Overview and Failure Modes tabs
of the Analysis Editor window.
Installer Languages: User can choose installer language (English, French, Spanish,
German and Portuguese).

Failure Mode Text Field Sizes: The following changes have been made to Failure Mode
text field sizes: Comments up to 2500 characters from 1000 characters; Contingency_Action
down to 1000 from 2000; Equipment_Tag down to 500 from 1000.
Analysis Navigator: Excessive flickering of Analysis navigator buttons has been eliminated.
Buttons are now created much more quickly after clicking on the Facilitate tab for
the first time.
Export File Names: RCM Desktop now suggests file names for Export files which contain
action (ie "Exported", Checked Out", or "Returned") date & time, user name and computer
name in addition to the analysis reference. This makes it much easier to see what
an export file is, where it came from and when.
Cancel Checkout: In the network version, only an administrator can Cancel an analysis
Checkout.
RCM Setup Window Grids: Quick customisation of data grids in the RCM Setup and Administration
window is now enabled.
Deletion Tracking: Deletion of records is no longer tracked. This will improve database
performance (particularly when importing and exporting).
Multi-Line Editor Auto-Height: All editors that can contain multiple lines of text
now automatically grow in size to keep all text visible.
Decision Logic Responses Hint: The Analysis Reference is no longer used as the hint
text for the Decision Logic Responses area of the Facilitate tab.
Database Selection Window: The Database Selection window now indicates whether or
not each database server is running or stopped.

Opening Maximized Windows: Fixed problem which caused windows to be drawn out of
position when opened in a maximized state.
Failure Mode Details Not Visible: Fixed issue which caused inability to scroll down
to some fields in the Failure Mode details panel when a large font was in use.
Open Supporting Comments Box: Previously, it was too easy to open the Decision Logic
Supporting Comments box unintentionally - this has been fixed.
Flickering Comments Box: The Comments box in the Facilitate tab no longer flickers
during text entry.
Analysis Navigator Buttons: Buttons were sometimes incorrectly positioned after applying
consequence filters; this has been fixed.
Downtime: Was incorrectly limited to 7 digits; this has been corrected.
Import Analysis: Permanently corrected error that caused a recently-imported analysis
to allocate incorrect references for new functions, functional failures and failure
modes.
Import Lookup Tables: Corrected error which caused Lookup Tables (eg list of Skills)
not to be updated during analysis import.
Imported Frequencies and Severities: Corrected error which caused Failure Mode Frequency
and Severity values to appear to go missing after importing an analysis.
Error Moving Failure Mode: Corrected error which could cause a "Key Violation" message
to appear after dragging a Failure Mode.
Export Analysis Dialog: Corrected minor error in the title caption for Export and
Checkout dialog boxes.
Switching Back to Facilitate Tab: Corrected error which caused Facilitate tab to
display a different Failure Mode when user switches to another tab and then back
to the Facilitate tab.
Double Login Request: Under certain circumstances, a user could be asked to log in
two times. This has been fixed.
"Invisible" Windows and Dialogs: If a user switches from multiple displays to a single
display, it was possible for some windows and dialog boxes to be drawn on a non-existent
display and, hence, be completely inaccessible. This has been fixed.

Audit Report Options Dialog Box: "List of Maintenance Tasks" option has been relabelled
"Detailed Maintenance Tasks". New option: "Maintenance Task Summary", which is ticked
and disabled - so the short summary of maintenance tasks now always appears in the
audit report.

FFI Calculator: Failure Mode reference was not displayed in the FFI Calculator if
it was opened immediately after creating the Failure Mode.
Licence Transfer: Fixed file name error which could cause inability to transfer a
single-user licence to another PC.
"Missing" Buttons in Analysis Navigator: Copying items (such as Failure Modes) by
dragging and dropping in the Analysis Navigator could sometimes result in one or
more buttons not being drawn - this has been fixed.
Criticality: Fixed issue which prevented the Criticality/Priority Matrix display
from updating after the user edited a Frequency, Severity, Criticality or Priority.
Error Copying Maintenance Task: Fixed rare issue which prevented copying the maintenance
tasks from another failure mode.
Error Creating a Functional Failure: Fixed rare issue which prevented user from creating
a Functional Failure.

Mimer Version Check: RCM Desktop now checks whether Mimer is installed, and which
version. If it does not match the expected version then the application will not

Importing Checked-Out Analysis: The import window now does not allow a Checked-Out
analysis to be Imported if it appears to be an earlier version of an analysis that
already exists.
Fixed:
Incorrect Item References:Whenever an analysis is opened, it now recalculates the
values for the next Function number, next Functional Failure letters and next Failure
Mode numbers. This prevents incorrect references that were occasionally being applied
to new Functions, Functional Failures and Failure Modes.
Checked-In Dates: Fixed a bug in the back-end database which caused incorrect Checked-In
dates in an analysis Checkout History.
Criticality Matrix: A sensible error message now appears if the user attempts to
create a Criticality Matrix record with a blank maintenance Priority.
