Criticality Assessment

RCM Desktop Advanced Edition enables the RCM facilitator to assess and record the Criticality each Failure Mode and the Priority of each Maintenance Tasks that may be associated with it. The criticality assessment is customisable to align with the user's criticality matrix and maintenance task priority matrix (if available).

The following may be recorded against each failure mode:

• The Severity by picking a value from a user-defined list (only if the user is assigning a Criticality to each failure mode)
• The Frequency by picking a value from a user-defined list (only if the user is assigning a Criticality to each failure mode)
• RCM Desktop will then look up the Failure Criticality and Maintenance Priority  - the Failure Criticality and Maintenance Priority definitions are user-defined
