​​Importing & Exporting RCM Analyses

RCM Desktop Advanced Edition permits the user to export any RCM analysis to a text export file on any storage device.

This enables two or more facilitators to exchange data between each other. They may need to do this for a number of reasons, including:

• Creating a template for a similar asset in a different operating context
• To make a safety backup copy of an analysis.

RCM Desktop Advanced Edition allows export files to be imported quickly and easily.

If an imported analysis has the same name or internal ID as an existing analysis then the user is informed and is presented with several clearly-explained options for dealing with the conflict.

This ensures that a facilitator cannot accidentally overwrite an analysis with an older copy of itself.
